Mary Kim is a painter who has both in the East and West cultural backgrounds by living in the U.S.A. and S. Korea. She is a poetic abstractionist employing colors to unite both of her cultural experiences.

Kim received her B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing at Indiana University Bloomington in 2012. She has had several exhibitions encompassing the idea of the warmth of winter with the intention to help and encourage individuals who are in need of comfort.

Currently, Kim is a M.F.A. candidate in Painting and Drawing at University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Hawai'i is a place of beauty and various worldwide cultural sensibilities. It will be interesting to see how her painting style changes within these unique environments.
